Saturday:
Breakfast Tacos
Tubing down the Gunpowder River and with only minor tube rash injury

BBQ on the roof at Bank Street
Pitango gelato and drunk people watching - we might have seen a man in a speedo, a pirate hat and an eye patch playing the saxophone in the middle of the street

Sunday:
Farmers Market falafels
Orioles game at Camden Yards
Spanish tapas dinner and sangria at Adelia's
Crush(ers) at the Oyster House
Rain storm dancing in the parking lot (and some dead fish)
Tiramisu at Vaccarros

Monday:
Fresh Squeezed Bloody Marys
Roof top pool day at Bank Street

Wiggle Wiggle

These are some of the obstacles we encountered on the walk to work this morning.  No big deal.

Aye Cap'n

This is Derek wearing 3D glasses over his normal glasses.  He made me go see The Avengers in 3D the other night.  I didn't really want to see it but he bribed me with Thai food so I agreed to go.  The best part about the movie was getting to see Captain America in his tight blue pants.  Nice toosh.

I'm soaked in gold.

Cucumber Lime Margaritas and snacks. Yay for Wednesday night cocktail hockey game happy hour!

Cucumber Juice

After work today, I was sitting outside Whole Foods while eating dried mango slices and waiting on Derek to meet me.  This shaggy dog was staring at me so I gave it a dirty look, but then it started waging its tail, so I blew it kisses and took its picture.

This is the cucumber lime margarita mix I made with my juicer.  Just add tequila.
Cocktail party tomorrow night!

Weekend in the 'burbs

We grabbed a zip car and drove up north this weekend to visit Steve and Lizzy in a cute town outside of Philadelphia.  We ate really good food (thanks to Lizzy's terrific cooking and Steve's grilling skills), streamed KCRW and sat on the back deck drinking wine and hanging out with Jaco (their new dog) all afternoon.
On the drive back to Baltimore, we stopped by this store call Terrain to geek out at all the plants and soy candles.  I bought an awesome new planting book by Piet Oudolf.  We got back to Baltimore and ate lunch at a tapas restaurant and then got gelato and sat at Bond St Wharf for a little bit to work on my shorts and tank top tan.

Power Juicers Unite!

I got a POWER JUICER! We had a gift card that we got as a wedding gift and last weekend I randomly bought a juicer.  It's so fun! I made green stuff.  See recipe below...

Green Stuff Recipe:
37 Baby Carrots
I Large Cucumber (whole)
2 Pieces of Celery (cut the brown part off)
1 Green Apple (cut it in half so it fits in the power juicer)

Place measuring cup under juice hole. Wait for juice to fall out.  Pour in small retro glass.  Make your husband try it first. Drink green stuff immediately.  Serves 2.

Little Big Man

The Kinetic Sculpture Race was yesterday.  We went up to the park to check them out when they tried to cross the mud pit.  My favorite was Bumbo the mexican elephant with a mustache.
We also went to our friend's baby shower yesterday.  Derek pushed Kita around in a dump truck.
