Albie the Mantis

This is Albie. He's my new pet. He hung out on my front door all day yesterday and waited for me to come home. And when I woke up this morning he was still there, except he crawled up higher. I'm going to catch bugs and feed it to him.

Jordan's returning to the Mother Land this week. We had a Goodbye Bonfire Beach Party on Saturday.
I saw a Praying Mantis outside my front door yesterday. It was albino.

Sheet Dress

Front

Back

I made this sheet dress as a trial run before I make the real deal. Ugly bedsheets make good practice fabric. I'm not gunna lie, I'm pretty proud of myself - I only messed up a couple times. Hopefully I'll finish the final dress before this weekend so I can show off my skills at Sunset Junction.

Hot Dog!

This is a Hot Dog Flag and I made it and it's glorious! Please keep an eye out for the Hot Dog at many outdoor social functions such as Austin City Limits, Twilight Dance Series, Coachella, NOLA Jazz Fest, Doheny Blues Fest, the beaches of Southern CA, Central Park, etc.

We went to Cirque Berzerk last Saturday and made shadows on the port-o-potties.

Groceries

The sky looked like this on the way home from the grocery store the other night.

Thursday Nights

Every Thursday night during the summer there is a free concert at the pier. Everyone goes down and sits on the sand and eats and drinks and listens to music. Usually it's really good music, but last night was super lame and so I took 50 videos of the Ferris Wheel lights. Here are a few of them.

Peligro Abejas!

A giant swarm of bees decided to make a nest outside our apartment. Apparently, the best place they could find is a branch that hangs over the sidewalk directly at eye-level. I was worried that someone innocent passerby would get a face-full of bees so we made this sign to warn them. Then we laughed at all the people who saw the sign and crossed the street to avoid them. Good times.

I'm a ovolactovegetarian.

"There was 'practically no difference' between the bones of meat-eaters and ovolactovegetarians, who excluded meat and seafood but ate eggs and dairy products, he said."
Now I know.
