ACL (mud) FEST 2009

We spent the weekend in Austin, Texas at the City Limits Music Festival. 3 days of people and music and rain and beer and mosquitoes and tacos and a hot dog flag turned Zilker Park into a giant mud puddle. And it was totally worth it. I can't wait for our next family vacation!!! Thanks ma!

100th Anniversary of Santa Monica Pier

We got yelled at today while we were riding bikes on the street. This guy driving a truck honked at me for blocking him from making a right turn. So, of course I gave him the stinkeye and as he was driving by he said 'You're not a car you know'. And I told him 'You're not a car either'.

Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!

We went and saw the Yeah Yeah Yeahs at the Greek last night! It was super! Besides the show being awesome, we got in the front row of a stacked parking line, no one at Will Call, and the 2 seats in front of us were the only empty seats in the whole theater. Sweet! Can't wait to see them again in Austin.

sewing is dangerous

I burned my foot on a George Foreman Grill.... no, just kidding ... I kicked an iron, well not really kicked but accidentally touched an iron with my foot. You see, I don't own an ironing board so I have to iron on the floor, which has never been an issue before because I usually don't iron my clothes - ever. But recently, I've been ironing a lot since I've been attempting to sew. Anyway, my foot is sick looking. Cool, huh?
Now that I think of it, I'm 99% sure that I've owned a small table-top ironing board in the past. I wonder where that is...
