The Blanket That Has Sleeves!

I got a Snuggie! My friend at work gave it to me as a going away present.
So warm and stylish... It's amazing.

Giant Ball of Cling Wrap

When I got to work this morning, my desk was completely covered in cling wrap. My computer, books, papers, pens, shelves - everything! It took me an hour to take it all off. I know it was the three guys I sit next to but they're blaming it on the cleaning people. At least now I have a giant cling wrap ball I can throw at them.

WOF - San Francisco!

Weekend of Fun! We went to San Francisco last weekend to hang out with my kick ass friends: Teresa, Nate, Karlo, Davey, Ben Palmer, Niko, and Lyle. We had so much fun! We partied all day Saturday and then hung out at the Academy of Sciences all day Sunday. I caught a butterfly.

We got it!

We found out this morning that the landlord signed our lease and the place is ours! Here's some photos that I took while we were there last weekend. It's an attached rowhouse built in 1915. It's 11 feet wide and about 30 feet long - and it has a basement. Who wants to visit us first?
Oh, and this is a photo of our new BFFs in Baltimore: Matt, Cassie, Adam, and Brett. They're super great humans who let us crash at their place, made us pancakes and invited us to a 'naughty or nice' party on Saturday night. Good times.

Baltimorons

Over the weekend, D and I went to Bmore to find a place to live. We found one place we liked and put in our application. This is what it looks like. I already fully laid out our furniture in this NTS plan - so I really hope we get it. We should find out by tomorrow if it's ours or not. Keep your fingers crossed.

Los Angeles. I love it. I love it.

Derek brought me up to the top of the Crescent Heights in the Hollywood Hills for my going away present.
So pretty...

B City

We're moving to Baltimore. Derek got a job transfer to Baltimore and we're moving. He starts working on January 4, in Baltimore. So, we're moving to Baltimore on Jan 1. Baltimore.
I'm really excited to go but I'm sad to leave LA. Baltimore is so different from LA. I've heard it snows there.

Underwear

Earlier this week, I was on site at a construction meeting with the general contractor and all the sub contractors talking about our design and dicussing the grading and drainage. I was the only girl there, which was awkward enough, but then somehow my bra accidentally came undone and I could feel it starting to slowly creep up towards my chin. I thought I could possibly leave it and continue on as if nothing happened, but then I thought everyone could tell and I wasn't paying attention to the meeting anymore. So, I had to be super stealth and put my bra back together without any of the guys noticing.

Mr. Rogers Neighborhood

In the last year, we've had many new people move into our apartment building, and since it's a relatively small complex, you can't help but notice how strange people are. For example, our landlord's daughter's boyfriend likes to throw quarters at her bedroom window in the middle of the night. And the landlord's boyfriend likes to walk around the property in his sweat-shorts. I think our neighbor downstairs is clinically depressed. He never leaves his apartment. I think he lost his job and he just sits inside all day with the binds closed and the lights on. His poor cat is always staring at me from the window. I think I'm going to stage a rescue mission to get the cat out. The neighbor next to him is a crazy old lady that lives by herself and is a chronic hoarder. Her living room, car, and garage is full of crap. I think she needs an intervention. Plus, she's always hitting things with her car and forgets to close the garage door when she goes to work. I thought the guy next door to her was cool when he first moved in, but not so much. He broke up with his girlfriend and has friends over at his house all the time. They're always playing video games and the electric guitar. He really sucks at playing the guitar. He also has this guy that's living on his couch. That guy smokes cigarettes out in front of our apartment with his friends and likes to blow the smoke into our apartment. Also, last night I woke up at 3am to some chick yelling 'F* me harder'. I think it was someone in his apartment. The couple that lives upstairs to him used to be the weird ones of the building but since we've had all these freaks move in they are now the nice normal ones. I think they are both nurses. The couple next to them are nice too but I don't see them often. Now that I think of it, I've probably seen them once in the last 6 months. Where are they? The guy likes to surf and skate and has a pretty cool long board. And, finally, the lady that lives right next door to us is a giant turd. She never talks or says hi or smiles. And her cat gets confused and sometimes thinks that he lives at our place and sits in front of our screen door and meows. He also likes to drink from our water garden but I like him most because he chases the squirrels.

Dirty Projectors Echo Park

Here we are again at the show. We weren't the only ugly ones there. The lead singer for the opening band was missing a front tooth and the dude from the Dirty Projectors looked like the guy from Dumb & Dumber.

Dia de Los Muertos

Derek and I spent Halloween drifting through Los Angeles. First, we went to Olvera Street to drink margaritas and eat chile relleno. Then we went to Hollywood to watch Paranormal Activity and drink vodkas. Then we went to Echo Park to see Dirty Projectors and drink Tecates. We decided to dress up as dead people.
