Derek was telling me about the first week he lived in Australia. He spent a year of college abroad in Adelaide. The first week on campus is 'Orientation Week' where the older kids welcome all the new kids.
Dressed only in newspaper taped to him like underwear, he was tied to his friend, who was wearing a trash bag, blindfolded and dropped off somewhere in the middle of the Australian countryside. They had to find their way back to campus, with no money, carrying a CMU block the whole way.
So funny.
As if we've been dating for over 4 years and he just told me that story this morning.
