Open Walls

On Friday night, D and I and a couple of coworkers went to Brewers Art for dinner and drinks and then wandered over to Station North to check out a 'graffiti art opening'.  On the way to the warehouse we saw a lady that had crashed into a parked car. It wasn't a bad crash but someone decided to call the paramedics for some reason.  When we got to the warehouse, we thought we would see a bunch of cool graffiti art and hear about how new murals were going up all over the city, instead we saw a bunch a crazy drag queens judging a 'Baltimore v Philly Dance Off'.  It was so crazy.  One of the judges was only wearing a thong and a pair of high-top chucks.  Later, I saw him making out with a large hairy biker dude.  We decided to call it a night, but not until after we saw a few more of the dance groups perform.  We caught a cab home from the train station and on the way home we saw a car on fire.  The flames were shooting out of the windows and the hood of the car.  The firemen had to put out the fire in the middle of the intersection.  I took pictures.
Yesterday, we went to the hardware store and Meyer's Seed Co. to get stuff for our garden.  And today we went to the Farmers Market to buy herbs and falafels and smoked goat cheese. Yum! I love being able to go to the market on the weekend.  And now there is a bus that goes there - so we don't have to walk by all the strip clubs like we did before.  I wish the markets could go all year.  I can't wait for our CSA to start in June.  We are going to have so much fresh (and local) food. This afternoon we planted the garden in our backyard.  I think I see stuff growing already.
