End of the Week Activities

Our usual walk to work.
Lunch from the Gypsy Queen while watching the Healthy Harbor group launch the new wetlands into the harbor.  Swimmable & Fishable by 2020.
Volunteer Day planting a butterfly garden at a woman's recovery home/farm.  I'm so sore even my thumbs hurt to move them.  But it was totally worth it.  The program helps women in Baltimore who are victims of sex trafficking or drug addiction or prostitution or all of the above.  They keep them safe and get them sober and teach them to farm and cook and support themselves.
Reservations at a local restaurant that just opened about a month ago.  We drank rye whiskey cocktails with brandied cherries and ate grilled polenta with mushrooms and a 90 minute egg.  So good.  I didn't feel bad for stuffing my face since I worked up a sweat all day.   We went home and drank a bottle of peppery Petit Cab from a local winery and watched The Help on demand.
It's raining today, so we slept in late and made baked eggs with cauliflower and tomatoes for breakfast.
This afternoon is reserved for laundry and internet searches.  I want to learn how to make brandied cherries and a DIY cherry pitter.
